INSPIRE THE NEXT GENERATION OF BEEKEEPERS THROUGH THEIR HIVES IN SCHOOLS INITIATIVE.
as organizers of bee’s knees week, we here at barr hill carefully selectED THIS YEAR’S organization – THE BEE CAUSE PROJECT. RECIPIENT ORGANIZATIONS WILL change each year so we can support as many groups, projects, and initiatives as possible from a variety of areas across the us.
The bee cause project has connected youth and adults at over 300 schools across all 50 states. through the installation of a beehive at a school or community organization, schools, businesses, and communities are given the opportunity to directly participate in the secret life of bees.
with an additioanl 300+ schools currently on the waiting list to
receive a hive and the supporting curriculum, Bee’s Knees Week’s 2018 goal is to fund installations at schools and organizations directly in the communities participating in the week. this will allow for longterm access to learn about and take action to help save the bees – well beyond the duration of the week.
