Garde Manger /Line Cook /Pantry Chef

Location: Montpelier, VT

Caledonia Spirits is looking for a Garde Manger/Line Cook/Pantry Chef to prepare and portion food products for final plate preparation including plating and garnishing of items and preparing appropriate garnishes for all menu items. Responsible for kitchen functions including maintaining food inventory, food ordering and receiving, maintenance of quality standards, sanitation and cleanliness, and execution of service. Role reports to the Bar Manager.

Key Functions and Responsibilities

  • Follow proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.
  • Wash, peel, cut, and seed fruits and vegetables to prepare them for consumption.

  • Substitute for or assist others when needed.
  • Close the kitchen following designated procedures.
  • Attend all scheduled employee meetings and offer suggestions for improvement.
  • Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests’ needs and support the operation of the Bar.
  • Fill-in for fellow employees where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.
  • Consult with the Bar Manager to plan menus, taking into consideration factors such as costs and special event needs.

General Manager of Hospitality Operations

What Are You Going To Do

  • Ensures our core values, hospitality program vision, and property and service standards are upheld and implemented.

  • Partners with Human Resources to recruit, hire, train and develop managerial team and staff; leads professional development for hospitality team members.

  • Ensures staff are diligent in their opening and closing procedures, and that the facility is always correctly prepared.

What Are We Looking For

We are looking for someone with knowledge and experience in the management and leadership of hospitality organizations, outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills and direct experience with budgeting, project management,and professional development.

Candidates must possess strong computer skills, proficiency in POS Systems and exceptional time-management, prioritization skills and attention to detail.

A Bachelor’s Degree in hotel and restaurant management or a related field is preferred. Event Manager

Location: Montpelier, VT

The Event Manager is the entrepreneurial leader of events at the Caledonia Spirits campus. As a member of our hospitality management team, they oversee event projects from start to finish, responds to event inquiries, provides estimates and quotes for events, and provides in-person oversight of private parties, new product launches, VIP visits, brand photoshoots, holidays, and other occasions where event organization and oversight is needed. The Event Manager reports to the General Manager of Hospitality Operations and has a dotted-line reporting relationship under the Bar Program Manager.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversees implementation of all events
  • Partners with vendors that support events
  • Stewards guest satisfaction 
  • Designs decor for events in accordance with brand standards

WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO DO
