Facilities Lead

Location: Montpelier, VT

Caledonia Spirits is looking for a Facilities Lead who is responsible for the security, general maintenance and services in and around our work facilities. The Facilities Lead will report to the Production Manager and will work in collaboration with other leaders across the organization.

What Are You Going to Do?

Who Are We Looking For?

An individual with experience in performing routine maintenance, skilled in the use of hand and power tools and able to use hammers, saws, drills and wrenches.

General Manager of Hospitality Operations

What Are We Looking For

We are looking for someone with knowledge and experience in the management and leadership of hospitality organizations, outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills and direct experience with budgeting, project management,and professional development.

Candidates must possess strong computer skills, proficiency in POS Systems and exceptional time-management, prioritization skills and attention to detail.

A Bachelor’s Degree in hotel and restaurant management or a related field is preferred. Event Manager

Location: Montpelier, VT

The Event Manager is the entrepreneurial leader of events at the Caledonia Spirits campus. As a member of our hospitality management team, they oversee event projects from start to finish, responds to event inquiries, provides estimates and quotes for events, and provides in-person oversight of private parties, new product launches, VIP visits, brand photoshoots, holidays, and other occasions where event organization and oversight is needed. The Event Manager reports to the General Manager of Hospitality Operations and has a dotted-line reporting relationship under the Bar Program Manager.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversees implementation of all events
  • Partners with vendors that support events
  • Stewards guest satisfaction 
  • Designs decor for events in accordance with brand standards

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO

  • Jar and package honey products: fill jars; affix labels to jars; stage raw materials; and stage finished goods.

Forklift operation certification preferred but not required. 

A candidate with an ability to work according to verbal and written instructions and in accordance with established policies and practices. Someone who can maintain focus, motivation, and consistent effort with repetitive tasks for extended periods of time.

Key Account Manager, Southern California

Reporting to the Regional Director, the Key Account Manager (KAM) serves as a dedicated portfolio resource in Southern CA. The KAM will focus on developing the Caledonia Spirits portfolio through driving new points of distribution and increasing velocity at accounts within the territory This role will work closely with our distributor partners to achieve depletion and distribution goals. The KAM will work with the Regional Director in the development of the local sales plan and then manage and oversee its implementation and execution.

The Key Account Manager position requires a driven, passionate and committed sales professional with a proven track record of cultivating industry relationships and working well in fast-paced, collaborative environments. The Key Account Manager must be able to recognize and communicate the passion and enthusiasm that begins at the distillery, understand our product’s distinct characteristics, and communicate this to customers and distributors in an honest and authentic way.

  • Forge and sustain successful, strategic relationships with distributors, buyers and managers to promote the interests of the company
  • Provide market trend knowledge and relevant data to the Regional Sales Director
  • Manage distributor and customer inquiries and concerns, responding directly or facilitating response, as necessary/appropriate
  • Provide brand and category education to the distributor partner, key accounts, and consumers through; presenting at general sales meetings, tastings, dinners, mixology, & digital/online consumer and trade engagement

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate and work in a professional manner with the entire Front of House staff. 
  • Staff the kitchen and bar as scheduled and provide excellent service according to company standards, techniques and protocols outlined in all FOH manuals. 
  • Support all functions of the bar/kitchen to execute  menu items in a timely manner by following established recipes and service standards, while using a variety of small kitchen appliances.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Bartenders (Full and Part Time)

Caledonia Spirits, distiller of Barr Hill Gin & Vodka and Tom Cat Gin, is looking for part-time and full-time Bartenders to join our team. Our bartenders provide exceptional and knowledgeable customer service while supporting the full scope front-of-house duties, including, greeting and assisting customers, beverage service according to operational standards, keeping the bar, kitchen and retail spaces clean, assisting with events and retail functions, and other tasks as assigned.

WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO DO

The following duties and responsibilities reflect the essential functions of the position, but do not restrict the assignment of additional tasks. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Greet customers in a friendly, professional manner. 
  • Provide beverage service to customers according to company standards, techniques and protocols outlined in the company Bar Manual, including but not limited to: opening/closing the bar and front-of-house; cash drawer duties; style of service and guest interactions.
  • Assist Bar Manager, Lead Bartenders and Kitchen Lead with all aspects of service and cocktail preparation: mise en place. 
  • Staff retail space, assist customers, complete merchandise transactions, and provide customer service according to company standards, techniques and protocols.
  • Perform housekeeping tasks as required to maintain a high-level of cleanliness, order and safety in all of the front-of-house spaces, including the bar, kitchen, retail space, outdoor patios and the customer bathrooms.
  • Assist in monitoring and assessing safety within the bar and front-of-house spaces and consult with the senior bar staff and other management to effectively respond to and proactively address safety concerns according to proper/established protocol.
  • Operate within health and safety and Vermont DLC compliance requirements.
  • Respond to customer concerns with respect and with the intent to fully resolve the issue(s) of concern; report significant issues to management according to established protocol.
  • Active participation in research and development for menu creation and bar products.
  • Maintain knowledge of the company’s distilling practices and history and share the story of the brand with customers.
  • Assist with set-up, clean up, serving, prepping and other tasks as necessary for on and off-site events.
  • Lead guest tours, as necessary/requested.
  • Complete other projects and perform other duties in support of the company goals and objectives, as requested.
  • Attend required company meetings, training, seminars, landcrafted tours and annual company Summit. 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Required:  

  • Any combination of education and experience likely to provide the skills, knowledge, and      ability to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Valid Driver’s License 

Preferred:

  • 2 years minimum bartending and hospitality experience. 
  • ServeSafe Certification, BarStarts, BarSmarts
