Regional Sales Director NY-Mid-Atlantic

Location: Metro NY

Caledonia Spirits is seeking a Regional Sales Director for the NY-Mid-Atlantic Region. Reporting to the VP of Sales, the Regional Sales Director has a strategic and tactical role in achieving the depletion, distribution and revenue goals for the assigned territory of NY, NJ, PA, DE, MD, DC, VA.  The RSD will work with the VP of Sales in the development of the sales plan and will manage and oversee its implementation and execution.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO

General Sales Management

  • Responsible for the delivery of sales depletion and revenue targets in assigned territory and with assigned national & regional customers
  • Responsible for management of annual budget for the region – sales execution, discounting and T&E as well as working with manager for budget planning, communication and execution
  • Partner with the Marketing Department and Business Analyst to develop and implement sales programs and manage the execution through assigned distributor partners
  • Develop and maintain relationships with assigned national and regional accounts, including initiating new relationships with these accounts for Caledonia Spirits
  • Accountable for ROI of sales programming and the completion of evaluations to measure
  • Partner with Marketing Department to develop and implement 4 quarters of programming at all times that is aligned with the National Sales Plan and Strategy
  • Drive strategic growth and market penetration through the development of new accounts and through cultivating existing accounts – including managing relationships with assigned National and Regional account groups
  • Participate in strategic planning across multiple distributors in all markets , Forge and sustain successful, strategic relationships with distributors, buyers and managers to promote the interests of the company
  • Participate in strategic planning of sales and marketing efforts, providing market trend knowledge and relevant data to the management team
  • Manage distributor and customer inquiries and concerns, responding directly or facilitating response, as necessary/appropriate
  • Maintain a schedule with a minimum of quarterly business reviews with all distributors and brokers representing the brand
  • Establish and maintain a cadence of meetings with senior distributor leaders in all assigned markets to develop strong relationships and to stay connected to distributor execution of all programs
  • Lead the development of personal and direct reports’ key performance initiatives that are aligned with the overall sales team and company’s strategy and objectives – hold all accountable for results

Team Management

  • Direct and/or support reporting staffs’ efforts to successfully achieve sales, revenue, depletion and distribution goals
  • Lead performance management and talent development processes in supporting direct reports Maintain a regular, weekly schedule of supervision meetings with reporting staff
  • Collaborate with Human Resources and manager to timely and appropriately address all performance concerns
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee information

General Management

  • Represent the company in alignment with the brand and company values
  • Attend trainings, team meetings and other company-sponsored events as scheduled (physical presence required)
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary customer and company information

Supervisory Responsibilities

The Regional Sales Director supervises the regional sales team, including Market Managers, Brand Specialists and other sales and promotional roles.

Education and Experience

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing or related field of study, with 5-8+ years of experience in sales, and experience in the premium and/or super premium spirits business preferred.

Colorado Market Manager

Location: Denver, CO

Caledonia Spirits is seeking a Colorado Market Manager to serve as a dedicated portfolio resource in Colorado. The Colorado Market Manager will focus on developing the Caledonia Spirits portfolio (Barr Hill Gin, Vodka and Tom Cat Gin, through driving new points of distribution and increasing velocity at accounts within the territory. This role will work closely with Breakthru Beverage to achieve depletion and distribution goals. The Colorado Market Manager will work with the Director of Sales – West in the development of the local sales plan and then manage and oversee its implementation and execution.

Landcrafted Apprenticeship and Landcrafted Internship – Seasonal

Location: Montpelier, VT

Caledonia Spirits, the distillery behind Barr Hill Gin & Vodka and Tom Cat Gin, is looking for candidates for our Landcrafted Employment Enrichment Program (LEEP). This is a 6 month paid position at our distillery in Vermont, ideal for recent college graduates or those looking to change career paths. Candidates will choose an area of focus in either Hospitality and Bar, Production, or Sales and Marketing. All candidates will participate in weekly cross-learning experiences, such as distillery tours, farm and vendor visits, bartending and cocktail training, public relations, laboratory research, and much more. Hospitality Support

Location: Montpelier, VT

The Hospitality Support is a hybrid position that works closely with all front-of-house departments to ensure a great customer experience, with a primary focus on staffing our current retail set-up, hosting, cocktail service and food running. Packaging Assistant

In support of Caledonia Spirits’ mission to be the preferred manufacturer of high-quality spirit products, the Packaging Assistant performs all packaging tasks, including bottling spirits, jarring honey, and packing product orders. This position also supports all functions of the Distillery as required to meet bottling, packaging and production demands.

What we are looking for

  • Forklift operation certification preferred but not required.
  • A candidate with an ability to work according to verbal and written instructions and in accordance with established policies and practices. Someone who can maintain focus, motivation, and consistent effort with repetitive tasks for extended periods of time.
  • A candidate who is able to communicate effectively and respectfully with team members and supervisor and who exhibits a willingness and ability to work collaboratively with team members to accomplish department tasks and goals.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Complete other projects and perform other duties in support of the company goals and objectives, as requested.
  • Attend required company meetings, training, seminars, landcrafted tours and annual company Summit. 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Required:  

  • Any combination of education and experience likely to provide the skills, knowledge, and      ability to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Valid Driver’s License 

Preferred:

  • 2 years minimum bartending and hospitality experience. 
  • ServeSafe Certification, BarStarts, BarSmarts
