Vermont Brand Ambassador – BTV
Position Summary and Responsibilities
As a member of the Vermont-based team of Brand Ambassadors, this position will work from one of two Barr Hill Retail Carts at the Burlington International Airport (BTV) in South Burlington to sell spirits, honey, and Barr Hill merchandise, and work on other projects and assignments. Brand Ambassadors introduce our products and facilitate friendly, informative customer experiences through accurate and appealing product descriptions and displays; engaging customer interactions; offering product samples; and selling products. Brand Ambassadors also regularly communicate with the Caledonia team, as well as report on sales data, leads gained in the field, inventory, and activities.
Like all Brand Ambassadors, the BTV Brand Ambassadors will represent our brand and offer a friendly, sensory experience and opportunity to learn about our spirits. Qualified candidates will have a strong customer service orientation; excellent verbal communication skills; the ability to accurately complete sales transactions; organizational and basic spreadsheet skills to track and report sales data, inventory levels, and connections made with customers; and enthusiasm for craft spirits.
This position requires remaining in a stationary position continuously for extended periods, lifting and moving boxes weighing up to 25 pounds, wheeling boxed product via cart or dolly through airport security, positioning a 100 pound wheeled retail cart and setting up product displays. Brand Ambassadors must be at least 21 years old, and must be able to regularly work a schedule that includes Saturdays and / or Sundays. Brand Ambassadors must strictly abide by Transportation Security Administration protocol, and will receive BTV security badges and be responsible for regularly passing through airport security and screening appropriately. Occasional trips to the Distillery in Montpelier may be necessary.
